Web Development Team Lead (Night Shift | Remote | Full-Time)

WebMastered.com is seeking a Web Development Team Lead who combines technical mastery with leadership excellence to manage and mentor a team of web developers and designers.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering high-performance websites across WordPress, Webflow, and Shopify while driving team performance, process optimization, and technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management:

• Lead, mentor, and coach a cross-functional team of web developers and designers.
• Conduct daily stand-ups and manage project tracking to remove roadblocks and maintain team momentum.

Performance Management:

• Manage escalations, addressing client or technical issues with professionalism and urgency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using DMAIC and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) frameworks.
• Monitor and improve team KPIs, including quality, productivity, and attendance.
• Champion best practices in web development, quality control, and process documentation.

Production Support:

• Prepare accurate and detailed website quotations, ensuring proper alignment between client billing, project scope, and manpower allocation.
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of websites built on WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow.
• Step in as a hands-on developer to build or troubleshoot projects when necessary.
• Prepare and deliver Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with actionable, data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align web solutions with agency and client objectives.

Technical Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Background working with digital marketing or advertising agencies.
• 5+ years of hands-on web development experience; 2–4 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Has built at least 3 complex websites to showcase as portfolio

• Expert proficiency in WordPress (Elementor, WPBakery, DIVI, Oxygen).
• Experience with Webflow CMS development and customization.
• Working knowledge of Shopify (2.0 themes, Liquid programming, app integration).
• Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AlpineJS, and jQuery.
• Expertise in WordPress customization: Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Gutenberg block development, Custom plugin and component development, Gravity Forms, Yoast SEO setup
• Solid understanding of WordPress Template Hierarchy and SEO integration fundamentals.
• Strong experience in hosting management, domain pointing, DNS configuration, and site migrations.
• Familiar with SEO best practices, web performance optimization, and Google Analytics setup.
• Knowledge of API integrations, WooCommerce, HubSpot, Headless CMS, Drupal, and Joomla.
• Working knowledge of design collaboration tools: Figma and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience performing thorough QA audits covering functionality, responsiveness, and SEO health.
• Familiarity with ReactJS, VueJS, NuxtJS, and GSAP.

Leadership & Process Management Skills

• Proven ability to lead web development teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and talent development skills.
• Hands-on experience implementing process improvements using Six Sigma, DMAIC, and RCA.
• Ability to balance leadership with direct production work when needed.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Experience managing projects in a white-label or multi-client environment is preferred.
